Selected words of wisdom from my three year old:
I was trying to sneak out of bedtime story reading, to join an evening outing already in progress. I helped Joshua get ready for bed, doing the bathroom thing, but I said that Maman would read him a story tonight, not me.
“I want you to read it,” he said.
“I’m sorry, Daddy has to go out,” I said.
He fixed me with a cold stare. “Well, I guess you don’t want to be the best daddy in the whole wild world, then.” Ouch!
